What is the "perfect cup of coffee? That is a question loaded with subjective values, so let us put it in perspective by beginning with a definition of perfection from Merriam-Webster's online dictionary .

Ruling out "saintliness" or "maturity" as desireable or likely attributes to be found or strived for in a cup of coffee (after much debate), we are left with the concepts of freedom from fault or defect, supreme excellence or flawlessness as objectives. Now we are closing in on something feasible!
